I’m meeeeeelting….30.01.09

(said in my best Wicked Witch of the West voice….)

You know that scene from the Wizard Of Oz, where water is tipped over the witch and she melts away into a grimy puddle…well, that’s exactly what I’ve felt like the last few days. We don’t have it anywhere near as bad as those poor people in Adelaide and Melbourne and all the other parts of Australia experiencing extreme heatwaves (my heart goes out to you) but I do have my own sweat house of sorts. I moved house last week, into a cute little cottagey house, however there is NO form of air conditioning/cooling here (that works) and there are LARGE windows where the sun just streams in. It will be fantastic in Winter, and a photographer’s dream (window light), but right now it turns my house into a baker’s oven and it’s horrible. I’m looking into getting some air con asap, all the sparkys here are flat out though so I bet by the time it’s installed the temperatures will have dropped, lol, but there’s always next year….

Mr Whippy made his first visit to our street the other day (well, since we’ve been here) and I managed to stop him in time to get/give Sephi her first taste of it…ahhhh, it brought back some great childhood memories that’s for sure and she seemed to love it very much, so much so that she was rubbing the icecream all over her body by the end of it LOL… that’s one way of cooling down I guess!! Hmm, might give it a go…

Watch this space for some wedding photos, which I’ll be blogging soon!!…but can I just say OH MY what a GORGEOUS wedding it was, and the bride……*gasp* she was breathtakingly stunning!
